I found myself in November trying a few new things out therefore I have some new products to talk about in my monthly favourites this time.
I will start with Lanolips, a rather popular lip product that often pops up on many blogs I read. Here I have the Lemonade Lip Aid version which I have being really enjoying using this month. This product is made of lanolin and organic lemon oil which helps to exfoliate the lips removing dead skin cells leaving them soft and ready for your favourite lipstick. I have being using this in the day as my Nuxe Reve De Miel is a bit too heavy for daytime use. I’ve found that it really has helped to improve the condition of my lips; I only wish I had purchased it sooner. After seeing Fleur mention a banana flavoured one I have to say I’m quite keen to pick that up too!
Ever since I purchased the Nars Promiscuous Lip Coffret I have being wearing the Velvet Matte Lip Pencils none stop. These are beautiful products and allowed me to delve into the world of a matte lip, boy oh boy I was missing out. Let me tell you I’m fully converted and cannot wait to try more of these in the future. Read my review of the set here.
After what seems like a lifetime I finally found myself purchasing my first Origins product a couple of months ago. I’m not too sure if I have mentioned this already on here as really I should have done as I’ve being using this quite frequently. The Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser aims to provide hydration and a revitalised look which I certainly think it achieves. It is an oil free moisturiser too which is good for my combination/oily skin type, I can’t recommend this enough. Whilst initially expensive at £23 it is the cheapest moisturiser on offer from Origins and will last you a long time as a little goes quite a long way with this.
Last up is the Bourjois Java Rice Powder which was re-released for the celebration of 150 years of Bourjois and their best selling product from 1879. I picked this up as I had read it was a bit similar to the Hourglass Ambient Light Powder which with there being quite a price difference I decided to go for the cheapest option. This is a translucent powder which aims to smooth the complexion leaving a radiant and velvet finish once applied.
