I have had a free day today, my last day in my University city before I go
back home. I’m looking forward to going back; I haven’t been home since Christmas, it feels like such a long time ago.
So, today here is painting I did, inspired by Jubilee themes. I wanted
something quite simple as I also have had to pack up my stuff today and I
wanted to have this finished before I leave tomorrow.
I kind of just stuck with a London theme overall, not much is more British
than a red telephone box! I added the crown as the “Queen” aspect and
the colours are clearly red, white and blue.
Also today, I popped into Boots and their jewellery stand had a few items up
for sale. I picked up a lovely dress ring which was priced at £1.50; it should
have been £5. I’m not normally a dress jewellery buyer, I tend to
hesitate as items I have purchased before have broken…namely New Look! I
never buy jewellery from there anymore. However, I really did like this
and I have never tried Boots before in terms of their jewellery so I thought I
would give them a go.
I really like this; I like how cute it is! It actually fits
me quite well too, which I find is another bug bare of mine with dress rings!
Whether they are small, medium or large I always have difficulty in finding a
decent fit, either they’re too big and they fall off, or they appear to fit yet are in the end still too big once on and they swizzle
around your fingers or….they’re way too small and you can just about get them on your pinkie!
Anybody else have these issues with dress jewellery or is it
just me, maybe I have bizarre fingers?
