I thought I would share with you guys my most recent purchase that I’m L.O.V.I.N.G!
This being the new Garnier BB Cream for combination to oily skin. I mentioned this in my last post but at the time I hadn’t used it properly on my face; I had only tested it out in the shop.
I chose the shade ‘light’ as I’m quite fair skinned and I had previous knowledge of my disaster with their first BB Cream which I found far too dark for my skin. This product is currently on promotion at Boots, with the offer being 2 for £15 on selected Garnier skin care products, the full retail price is £9.99 (please note that this promotion may have ended upon your time of reading this).
As you can see here I have included
the products ‘claims’ as it were, it advertises that it provides anti-shine, it helps
to blur pores and imperfections as well as even tone and moisturise. Along with
this there is the added bonus of SPF 20 UV protection which is something I have
been looking for as my current foundation has 0 SPF! :'(
I was quite nervous to use this at first! I’ve been stuck with my old
foundation for a while now as I’m so used to it I was scared to try something
so different, yet to my surprise it was pretty close to what I ordinarily use
except so much lighter and more easy to apply.
The actual product I feel is quite ‘runny’, this makes it lovely to apply
and don’t be scared if you have oily skin like me, it dries quickly and is
really matifying, which I guess is the whole purpose of this new release. I
really do love it!
I’m not quite sure if this picture does the product complete justice, but
here this product is blended into my skin. On your face I really do feel that
it helps to even out tone as well as hideaway pores. I kid you not, when my mom
saw me on the evening that I had used this, bearing in mind I had put it on in
the morning she said that my skin looked smoother (she didn’t know I had it on)…bonus!
I think this product also lasts very well, so far I’ve found it stays on throughout the day. I do however use a primer before hand so this no doubt has some kind of influence.
Overall, huge sighs of relief for me as I was struggling to find a BB Cream
that I liked. I’ll give it another few weeks to see how I completely get on
with it but first impressions are really good!
