March Favourites

I’m a few days behind schedule with this post but it’s finally made it to my blog, here are my favourite things from March.

I’ll start with the obvious as I thrown in a cheeky non beauty favourite
this month. I’ve finally started to read A Game of Thrones series, finally!
I’ve got the first five books at home and I’ve had them probably about a year
now but I’ve put off reading them until I felt I had a bit more time. Although considering
I’m now doing my dissertation I’m finding I have much less time on my hands however I just
couldn’t wait any longer. Suffice to say I really love them and if I fully
recommend giving them a go if you’re into your sci-fi books or even if you’ve
enjoyed the TV series so far.

Now, back to beauty….I have two lip products here, one is a Revlon Lip
Butter in ‘Watermelon’ at £7.99 and the next is one of the ColorStay Ultimate Suede
Lipsticks in ‘Womenswear’ at £8.99. I’m a huge fan of the Revlon lip butters so it was
no surprise that I went and picked up one of their new ones, this is a really
bright red for me so it is taking some getting used to; however I really do
like it. Womenswear however is more my normal lipstick as I find it much more
wearable for everyday. I did a review on the ultimate suede lipsticks here so
have a read if you fancy finding out more.

The Barry M Gelly Nail Polishes have made an appearance into my monthly
favourites, much like everyone else’s. I’m very much all over these at the
moment with Lychee being my favourite; I also really do like the shade of Pomegranate.
I did originally find these to be a nightmare as I purchased two from the original release at around Christmas time I think. I found that I really did not get on with them as I found them to chip so easily, however after using a better top coat they are lasting so much better on my nails now. I’m currently thinking about purchasing Papaya as it looks beautiful in so many
of the reviews I have seen; at £3.99 they’re brilliant products.

Lastly is my Smoulder Kohl Eyeliner from Soap and Glory. I picked up mine in a set during the Christmas sales however they can be purchased individually for £5. Seeing as it is the only
brown eyeliner I own I have being using it every time I’ve reached for an
eyeliner this month as I’ve being trying to achieve a more softer look compared
to the more bold look that black eyeliner can give. I find it to be a nice
eyeliner that can be blended out well, however for a crisper line I do find that
it isn’t the best product to use as eyeliner pencils never really are.  Do you
know of a good brown eyeliner product anywhere, if so I would love to hear any
recommendations.
