It’s a sad fact that I have never been to a festival (insert sad face here)! One day I hope this will change as I would absolutely love to attend Glastonbury, I wouldn’t even mind camping. For now and for the foreseeable future though I will continue to look wistfully at all the pretty clothes and try not to be too jealous at all the great bands that people will be seeing across the country this year. Folli Follie luckily came to my rescue a few weeks ago and has allowed me to embrace the festival mood this year with some beautiful accessories and gorgeous beauty products to help me on my way to a festival inspired outfit.
For my festival outfit I was kindly sent a Floral Headband* from New Look, the Urban Decay Basics Palette* and the Umberto Giannini Glam Hair* along with a L’Oreal Paris Color Infallible Lipstick* in a beautiful summer red to help put together my festival make up look. Having never owned the Naked Basics Palette I have to say I think it is incredible and is so much smaller than I had imagined. Personally I think it would be the perfect palette to take away on your travels throughout the year, particularly at a festival due to its compact size; the nude tones are simply stunning and blend beautifully.
I wanted my outfit to be quite light with an almost boho vibe to it as I simply adore that type of festival look that I see so often from articles online. Due to this I decided on a simple plain maxi skirt from New Look which I purchased at the beginning of this week therefore it is still available if you’ve taken a shine to it. It is in truth more orange than is depicted in the pictures above due to the filter on my pictures however it is still absolutely gorgeous and adds a very bold colour to my otherwise understated wardrobe. I’m now most certainly on the lookout for a black one (that didn’t last long) as I have found this to be really comfortable to wear. Keeping the theme relatively simple I stuck to a white vest top and white sandals to keep myself somewhat colour coordinated. In order to finish off the outfit completely, I wore the Carma Necklace* and the absolutely stunning Watchalicious Watch* which hasn’t left my wrist since it arrived; it truly is a beautiful piece of jewellery.
Up until now, I have never owned any rose gold jewellery, of which I’m well aware it is quite the blogger favourite. I have to say I have fallen for it hook, line and sinker after experiencing these beautiful items from Folli Follie! These jewellery items are quite simply stunning and of course, the watch for me completely steals the show.
Whilst it is great to envisage a beautiful summer day listening to your favourite bands with your friends at festivals such as Reading and Leeds, all whilst dressed up in your perfectly planned festival outfit I think we all need to remember that this is the UK. It may be worth packing those wellingtons just in case!
Are you going to any festivals this year?
