Initially I had planned on wrapping this series up before the New Year however I never quite got around to it in the end. Therefore here I am back with Muji draw three whereby this tends to consist of my eye pencils, mascaras and then a few other random products that I can’t fit in anywhere else; if I’m honest it’s a bit of a mish mash draw.
First and foremost when you’re using eye liner pencils and eye brow pencils you are most certainly going to need a sharpener. Mine is from Bourjois and I have to say I’ve had it quite a while now. It’s one of those things that people tend to forget about but for me it’s pretty important as I do use pencil liners frequently. Speaking of pencil liners I have a few from Soap and Glory in here which are pretty great for definition on the lid however I’m not a fan of them for the waterline as I find that they bleed quite badly on me after a few hours resulting in the dreaded panda eyes, therefore I’m currently in the hunt for something better.
There are a couple of liquid liners floating around in there too, notably from Eyeko and L’Oreal whereby I have to say that neither have impressed me enough to make me want to repurchase them again. They’re not bad liners but I know that I haven’t found the one just yet.
Since taking this photograph I have actually removed some of the products in here as I had a clear out at the beginning of January. I’ve taken out Benefit They’re Real as it was a bit old however this was a mascara that I really, really enjoyed using in the end so it is definitely a product that I’ll be looking to replace at a later date. At the moment I’m using the Lancome Hypnose Mascara which is nice and works well for me but between me and you I do prefer Benefit They’re Real as I think the definition I can achieve with the latter is much more significant.
My Illamasqua Eye Brow Cake in the shade ‘Thunder’ sits in here along with the Eye Liner Cake in Mislead. Mislead is really nice but requires much more effort on my part to use so as much as I hate to admit it it’s often left sitting there all alone until I have time to use it. Due to the time needed to apply it and concentration (I’m not that good with liner at the best of times) it’s not the liner I want to be reaching for at 7am in the morning.
The Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze was sadly waved goodbye to in my January clear as again this was a product that was a little bit too old. In getting rid of this I’m now left without any cream eye shadows which is something that I’m already missing, I really enjoyed using that as it was so simple and easy to use so I’m now looking for a cream eye shadow to replace it. Do I either repurchase this again or try one of the new Max Factor ones instead?
If you missed The Muji Files Part 1 or The Muji Files Part 2 then don’t forget to check them out! I’d also like to take this opportunity to say a a BIG hello to everybody who is new to my blog, thank you for stopping by and sticking around!
