George Highlighter Palette

George Highlighter Palette

It isn’t very often that I purchase a product from a supermarket own brand range. I don’t really have a specific reason for this, I just never really pay that much attention. Whilst in ASDA about for weeks ago I happened to stop by the beauty section in order to see if the L’Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation was on offer, it is by far my most loved high street foundation. Next to the stand I saw Asda’s home brand of make up, otherwise known as George (they also do clothing etc). I noticed that they had launched some new products which they were promoting at the time at half price. One such item was the Highlighter Powder Palette at somewhat of a steal at £2.50, the full price is a mere £5.

The palette consists of four different highlighter shades as you can see above, three I think work perfectly if you are fair like me, whereas I think Goddess is a little bit too warm to use as a highlight. It does however work nicely as an eye shadow; therefore you can definitely make use of everything here, even the lightest shade could be used as an inner corner highlight if you find it a bit too icy for elsewhere. My favourite shades are Sunset and Glow, both work beautifully on my complexion even though they are different in tone.

As you can see, they are extremely pigmented when swatched and when applied to the tops of your cheek bones. All the shades blend really well and there is no significant fall out which you may expect with a more budget friendly brand. Overall, I think that this is a great little find for very few pennies. If you are experimenting with highlight or just want something to use every day without using up your more expensive products then I think this palette is one which is worth checking out.

This palette may be found in your local ASDA, if not, you can find it online here.
