Over the last few weeks I have been transitioning into my autumn make up and skincare routine. It is of course my favourite time of year, in which I love nothing more than moving towards the richer tones that are on offer. During this time, I have had the pleasure in trying out a few new beauty products which I have enjoyed using immensely. One of which, I will admit to coming as a complete surprise to me, as I had not really given it much consideration during its original release. It is really lovely to be surprised by a product, in a good way of course. Especially when you weren’t really expecting to love it as much as you do. I am finding that more and more often that this doesn’t seem to happen as much these days as we all quickly move onto the latest release, often forgetting what we loved previously.
Whilst the products featured today were new to me at the time, I can honestly say that I think they are fantastic and that I have not stopped using them since I received them. Therefore, I thought it was about time that I got around to sharing them with you.
The first product I have being using is the Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder*. This was the first product I had ever tried from Guerlain, therefore I was rather excited to give it a try, although granted I was a bit apprehensive as I do struggle with bronzers in general as I am quite pale. That being said, I have had no issues with this at all. I think it is quite sheer on the skin once applied which is fantastic for me personally as I prefer to build this type of product up on my skin until I am happy with the way it looks as opposed to it being too heavy and having to blend like crazy or start over. The Travellers Exclusive set that I have here also includes a mini powder brush too which is perfect for travelling of course, it is also rather handy to keep in your bag for on the go! The brush isn’t as soft as I had expected, although having used it with the product I think it needs an element of sturdiness to it so that it will pick up the product from the pan properly.
As you can see, the powder itself has three different shades within it ranging from a light peachy pink to a typical bronzer shade. This does also contain shimmer, although I personally think that this element is more noticeable in the pan compared to when it is applied. This is a great bronzer if you are pale as it just adds a really nice glow to the skin without it being an obvious, traditional bronzer. I think it is also worth a quick mention at just how beautiful the packaging is as I personally think it is rather unique in its appearance. All in all I love this little set, I think it would make a fantastic gift for yourself or indeed a loved one this Christmas therefore if you’re stopping off in Duty Free, I would highly recommend checking it out.
The second item that I have really enjoyed using is the Urban Decay Beached Eyeshadow Palette*. This is the product which surprised me, and it is the product which I keep on reaching for on a daily basis. Of course, we all know that Urban Decay EyeShadow palettes are very popular within the beauty community and there is a reason for that. The shade ranges tend to be almost spot on, the packaging is nearly always a hit and the quality is often second to none. It really is hard to find fault with any of their eyeshadow releases. Therefore, I find it funny that when the Beached Palette was released that I didn’t instantly want it. Perhaps it was the two blue shades within the palette that at first put me off, or perhaps it was the sheer fact that I have one too many eyeshadow palettes already, who knows. What I can tell you is that I love it. The first five shades of the palette and the last shade are simply wonderful and I am enjoying using them such a lot at the moment. The blue shades are of course slightly unusual and perhaps don’t really fit the palette as such in terms of wear ability, although I can see how they relate to the beach theme. These two shades are the most unused and they were always going to be, however I am determined to incorporate them into a look at some point, just for the fun of it.
Last but most certainly not least is the Aqua Di Parma Colonia Nomade EDC Set* which features three travel size miniatures from the Coloina Nomade range. Now of course I have been unable to put these products to the test myself as they are for men, however my boyfriend has had great pleasure in trying them out over recent weeks, I have to say, he smells divine! The travel set features three products in which there is a Bath and Shower Gel, Aftershave Balm and a Deodorant Spray.
All of the above items can be found at World Duty Free where of course you make tax free savings, every little helps!
