Christmas is fast approaching, it is now the big countdown with just 15 days left to go. I would also like to add that I now only have 7 working days left until I break up, so I am naturally on a high. Now, I’m not one to brag but at the time of writing I literally have only one more person to buy for; I have never been this organised. Sticking with the ‘I have never’ theme, I am pretty sure that I have never put together a Christmas gift guide before such as this. In the past I have done a number of wish list type posts, but I have never really put together a gift guide as such. So, without further ado, you now find yourself reading my very first Christmas Gift Guide.
I have compiled together a few things aimed at a beauty enthusiast and jewellery lover combined. Most of these items, in fact all of these items are products that I picked up in the Black Friday sales a few weeks ago, therefore none of them are gifted, they are all items which I have paid for myself. I had put a little bit away for Black Friday this year as I had wanted to purchase a couple of new jewellery items from a few of the brands that I had discovered earlier on in the year. Therefore, there are a few items in this Gift Guide which are perhaps a bit expensive, however please do remember that I waited a while to pick them up until the good offers were on.
So, getting right down to it. I have picked out two skincare gift sets (more to come on that later) which I think would make fantastic gift sets this year for any skincare lover. I have wanted to try out all of the items in both sets for a while now and thought that overall these sets were good value for money and did not break the bank more importantly. Starting off with The Body Shop Camomile 123 Kit which contains one of the best high street makeup removers I have tried. For a very long time I used the Camomile Gentle Eye Makeup Remover and purchased it religiously, I only stopped due to finishing university and moving back home, away from a store which was literally a ten-minute walk away at the time. Due to how much I loved the eye make up remover, I do find it a bit odd that I never quite got around to trying the Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter. I have read countless reviews about this product; therefore I am really happy to now have it within my skincare routine. It is a clear balm which melts your make up when applied to the skin leaving the skin nourished and hydrated. I have only recently incorporated this into my routine, so it is still early days, however so far, so good. I have also included a bottle of the Peppermint Candy Cane Shower Gel which is a new release this year (as far as I know). I love the scent of peppermint and think it is oddly quite festive, plus, there are some cute gift sets available in this scent and all of the others over on The Body Shop website and in your local store.
The second skincare gift set I picked up was the Peter Thomas Roth Meet Your Mask set which contains six mini masks from across the range on offer. Again, I have read a number of reviews about the masks from this brand, particularly in respect of the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask and the Rose Stem Cell Mask, therefore I am really excited to give these a whirl soon. The full sizes of these masks can be a bit expensive, especially if you haven’t tried them before, it can be a little off putting to fork out so much on a product without having had chance to put it to the test first; therefore I think this little gift set in particular is a great introduction to what the brand has to offer.
The last two items are jewellery pieces from a brand which I have really admired this year. From the intricate, soft, feminine designs to creating modern jewellery which is affordable and also good quality. I do believe that Missoma have hit the nail on the head with their launches this year which have of course been rather popular. The Lucy Williams collaboration was the first that caught my eye and to this day there are still a couple of pieces that I would like to pick up.
Pictured here you will see the Lucy Williams Roman Arc Coin Necklace and the Mini Molten Hoops, both I just adore. They are of course gold plated with 18k gold, so it is extremely important that jewellery such as this is looked after. I am trying my best to take the items off, in particular the necklace, and not spray any perfumes around them in order to preserve these for as long as possible. At the moment I would really like to add to my little collection the Molten Hoops in the next size up, along with the Mini Beaded Coin Necklace and the Large Horn Necklace; what can I say, the whole range is just gorgeous! I think if you are looking to treat someone special this year then look no further, Missoma have some truly beautiful pieces that would appeal to so many this Christmas.
Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet? I should probably double check that I haven’t forgotten anybody…
