Each year for the last six years, the team behind Bobbi Brown have released a product under the Pretty Powerful campaign which sees the proceeds from the sale of such products going to the fantastic cause known as the Smart Works Charity. Sometimes the charity product is a single item, such as the Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge which I purchased back in 2015, whereas other times it is a little mini collection consisting of one or more products; one such example of this is the one I have here to share with you today.
The Bobbi Brown X Lulu Guinness Pretty Powerful Collection is, in my eyes, incredible. For the price of £35 (the full retail price minus vat goes directly to the charity) you get an awesome little makeup bag designed by Lulu Guinness and two full-size Bobbi Brown products which alone would cost you £47.50; I think it is a fantastic deal and of course, with the proceeds heading off to charity it is even better.
If you have not heard of Smart Works before then I do urge you to read more about it if you get the chance as they are carrying out incredibly vital work across the UK. Their work involves helping unemployed women back into work by providing interview training, high-quality clothing so that they can feel confident and prepared for that all important job interview along with beauty advice to boot. At the best of times, an interview can be daunting, so it is great to know that there is a cause out there assisting those who need that extra bit of help.
Inside this gorgeous makeup bag you will find an Art Stick (£22.50) in the universal shade Bare which is a beautiful nude that is said to suit all skin tones, this also comes with a jumbo pencil sharpener which I think is great. On a side note, I like that you don’t have to buy this separately to the Art Stick itself which is sometimes, if not often not the case with this type of lip product.
You also get the Smokey Eye Mascara (£25.00) which I have actually heard really good things about, needless to say, I am quite excited to give this a try soon. I rarely buy higher end mascaras, so this is quite a little treat for my lashes, we will see how it goes and I shall report back in due course.
Overall I think Bobbi Brown have released yet another fantastic product for the Pretty Powerful campaign. I am aware that this has been quite popular, I have at the time of writing struggled to find it in stock online (I picked up mine from ASOS a few days ago, however, it has since sold out). In circumstances like this, I never know whether to share the product as it is often unobtainable unless it comes back into stock, having said that, it is a good way to highlight the cause and the campaign itself.
Well done Bobbi Brown and Lulu Guinness, this is a fantastic charity collaboration.
