Nivea is one of my most loved home brands and has been for as long back as I can remember. You will always find something from Nivea in my bathroom cabinet whether it is shower gels, body lotions or lip balms. They cover it all and they do it well. Recently the Nivea team sent across some of their new releases and I thought it was about time I shared them with you. One, in particular, has taken me by surprise.
In the past, I have used Nivea deodorants, yet for a long time, I had moved away from them (and other brands) due to them not being very effective for me. Therefore, when I received the new Dry Fresh Anti Perspirant* I was a bit sceptical. That being said, I have tried it and I have been very pleasantly surprised, it works! It has been a long time since I used deodorants from Nivea and clearly they have come on leaps and bounds. I would definitely consider purchasing this in the future as it is more affordable than my current go-to deodorant and it does work well. Thumbs up Nivea!
In contrast to this, when it comes to SPF, Nivea has always been the brand I reach for. When I went to Paris earlier on this year I picked up the clear spray SPF from Nivea and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend their suncare range for anybody as it works well and doesn’ feel greasy on the skin, especially the clear water sprays as they dry instantaneously. The Protect and Moisture Sun Spray SPF 50 sent to me is the classic one we all come to know and love and I will be saving this for a breakaway next year all being well.
The Nivea Lip Balms are also some of my favourites (there is a theme running here), so much so that I have two on my desk at work in my little paper clip pot. I have decided to save this one until I need to open it as I have so many things on the go lately that it often can start to feel a little overwhelming. If the Mango Shine version is, anything like the rose version and srawberry then I am sure I will love it just as much.
The last two products have also been hits and I truly mean that. The new Nivea Clay Fresh Shower Gel in Ginger and Basil* is a product that I have tried before (I had a little sample) and I found it really interesting and unique in comparison to other shower gels in the past. I am happy to have the full size to use, it is zingy and super fresh! I would definitely like to try the other two scents in the range. Shower gels are of course an easy product to get along with, I also rarely spend more than a few pounds on them as I just cannot justify spending money on this area, unless of course, it is an extra special treat.
Finally, to round off this post full of Nivea delightfulness, I am leaving you with the new Nivea Body Moisturising Mousse Fresh Cucumber and Matcha Tea*. This is a lovely new edition to the body moisturiser range from Nivea which is somewhat vast. Of course, it is a mousse texture, therefore it is light and gentle on the skin. It hydrates my skin well, especially my knees which always seem to be super dry. The smell is rather refreshing which I do like, however, the only thing I would say is that I am more inclined to use a body lotion of an evening after a shower or bath and whilst refreshing is nice, I think I would prefer something more soothing and relaxing in terms of the scent. That being said though, this is just a personal preference, it takes nothing away from the product itself which is rather lovely.
So as you can see, there are a number of new launches from Nivea in recent months and they are well worth checking out if you get the chance. As always, Nivea is widely available and you can often find their products in your local supermarket along with Boots and Superdrug.
