It is my pleasure to share with you the first Latest in Beauty Edit for January 2020. It’s a great one if I do say so myself, and one which I quite surprisingly tailored towards my hair for the most part. Hair is my beauty faux pas, I have no idea what I am doing and I just try my best to find products to suit my hair type. My hair for a long time has been very temperamental, it can be greasy within a day of washing and it is also colour treated. Over the years it has improved, but I have never quite found “the one” when it comes to a shampoo and conditioner.
Kicking off first with the Skincare and body care, I opened for the Hall of Fame product which is the Nuxe Ultra Comforting Face Balm*, of course I wasn’t going to miss out on the chance to give this a try. I have to say that given how long I have been blogging now, I am surprised that I haven’t tried much more from the brand other than the iconic Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm which is gorgeous!
I also opened for the Weleda Skin Food* as I have heard so much about this and thought that it would be a great way to test it out. This is the original version which I suspect may be a bit too rich for my skin, however I cannot be sure. I have high hopes for this given by how many people enjoy it and continue to rave about it to this day.
The third product I chose was the Imperial Leather Foamburst Shower Gel. I use these all the time and similar products from other brands; you will always find something like this in my bathroom. I use them for not just washing but also as a foam when shaving my legs as I find that these work really well, plus, they often work out so much cheaper than buying a dedicated shaving foam, especially when on offer for £1.
For hair I chose the Charles Worthington Grow Strong Activating Shampoo* and the Charles Worthington Protein Conditioner*. I have since seen these products in stores at full price, making me realise just how good value this box truly is at just £15 a month for six products. I first tried Charles Worthington years and years ago, before I started The July Rose and I remember really liking the products. They most likely have long since changed, the packaging certainly has. I’m curious to see how I get on with these as I haven’t used the brand for a very, very long time. As you can see, I also opted for the Charles Worthington Grow Strong Longer and Stronger Protein Treatment* too, therefore I have a nice little range to test out here.
