As we head into mid November, you may well be starting to think about Christmas, I know I am. Having said that, I am ahead of the game having almost finished my Christmas shopping! I am feeling quite smug about it I must say, however, if you haven’t started, or are stumped for ideas then why not take a closer look at Shay and Blue and what they have on offer for this festive season.
Shay and Blue is a Boutique Perfumery based in London and this year they have a fantastic gift set launching on QVC, on the 19th November to be precise. It will be a TSV (Today’s Special Value) deal, which we all know can be pretty darn great. It debuts online at 9 pm on the 18th November and will then be available for 24 hours only from 12 am Thursday 19th November until 12 am Friday 20th November. So, if you fancy it, don’t hang about as it won’t be around forever. The collection retails for £122 and will be on a special QVC at £48.96 plus p&p.
Now the deal itself is one of three which means that there are three fragrances to choose from. Tough decisions I know. On the day, you will be able to choose from Black Tulip, English Cherry Blossom and Blackberry Woods. Each collection will also feature a mini version of the latest scent from the brand which is Tallulah’s Camellia which will launch in 2021. You also get a 250ml Body and Hand Lotion and a 250ml Rich Almond Shower Oil. Both are gorgeous and come in glass bottles which makes them very luxurious, and of course recyclable.
The scent I chose was Blackberry Woods which comes in 100ml. I thought this sounded the most apt for this time of year. This has notes of blackberry, neroli, lemon leaves and cypress woods. It is quite a warm scent and also sweet, for me it has a real autumn feel to it. I am not sure if it is just because of the time of year we are in or what, however I know I have been reaching for it daily since it arrived. It is beautiful. I am honestly really impressed with the scent of this and having never tried Shay and Blue before it has made me want to check out their other scents. Overall I am very happy with the scent I chose, I cannot recommend this enough. At first instance, it is quite strong, although not at all overpowering. I often find that fragrance can be so hit and miss, however, this is an instant hit with me, and my mum come to think of it. She is very hard to please when it comes to scents.
The other two available scents are Black Tulip as previously mentioned. This also sounds divine with notes such as black tulip, plum, snowdrops, white chocolate and soft woods. I think out of the three this probably seems the most festive, however without trying it I cannot say for sure.
The last is English Cherry Blossom which is almost the scent I chose. This for me sounds more traditional to the type of scent I would normally go for. It contains notes such as honeysuckle, fig, black cherries, iris, bergamot and green mandarin so I should imagine it is quite floral and light.
There is, of course, the mini Tallulah’s Camellia which comes in a travel size 10ml.
I would also like to address the presentation of this as the whole collection is simply beautiful. The body lotion and shower oil are in glass as already mentioned, as are the two fragrances themselves. I love the gold detail on the fragrance and the embossed lid, it also looks gorgeous in the striped presentation box.
