Temple Spa My Kinda Skin Essentials Kit – AD/PR Product (This post contains products that have been sent to me for consideration as a PR sample only, all thoughts are my own).
It is time to share some of the latest beauty products that I have been using over recent weeks and this time, it is from a new brand to me, that being Temple Spa.
I was recently given the opportunity to try out the Temple Spa My Kinda Skin Combination Skin Essentials Kit*. I love trying out new brands and this provided a new routine, or at least the foundations of a routine for me to test out. As I said, I have been road testing this kit for several weeks, and now feel like I can give you my initial thoughts. Of course, over time, I’ll be able to let you know what I ultimately thought but for now, my first impressions are actually quite good.
The Temple Spa My Kinda Skin Combination Skin Essentials Kit retails at £65, you get three full-size products that are housed in a see-through mesh bag (I hope that this is an adequate description of the bag). The bag itself is actually really nice, it is sturdy enough to use daily and it’s see-through making it so easy to see what is inside and to find the things you’re after. I’ll make quite a bit of use out of this I am sure. Anyway, it isn’t all about the bag, it is what inside that counts right?
Inside the kit you get the following:
- Dual Act Wet and Dry Cleansing Lotion – 150 ml
- Toning Essence Essential Mist Tonic – 150 ml
- Moisture To Go Balancing Moisturiser – 50 ml
- Beauty Bag
Now obviously this kit is tailored towards those with combination skin, they do however feature kits for all different skin types such as oily, sensitive, and dry so it is worth exploring what they have on offer to find something suitable for your skin type or that of a friend or relative.
Starting with my favourite product out of the kit, the Dual Act Wet and Dry Cleansing Lotion which retails at £21. This is a lovely gentle cleanser that can be used on dry skin and wet. I personally like to dampen my skin and then apply the product. It is a creamy cleanser and it does contain fragrance if that is important to you. I like my fragrance in skincare products so this does not bother me, in fact, it only makes the experience of cleansing more enjoyable. This does not foam up, it turns to a more get like consistency when used with water and it rinses off well leaving no residue, just your skin clean, hydrated and soothed. It’s a lovely cleanser and I am really enjoying using it at present.
The next product is the Toning Essence Essential Mist. which retails at £16. This does not contain alcohol which is important as it’ll just dehydrate your skin and do the opposite of what you want a mist to do, and that’s hydrate. I love the smell of this, although I cannot pinpoint the scent to one particular ingredient. It contains tomato, lemon, orange, melon, rosemary, basil, mandarin, lime and ginger so surely it is one of those! The spray is a little harsh, I would be tempted to put this into a different bottle in truth but other than that, this is a very nice, refreshing mist which I am happily using in this hot weather. After use my skin does feel quite plump and hydrated, it is the kind of product that I have on my desk and spritz throughout the day.
Lastly, the Moisture to Go Balancing Moisturiser, retailing at £38. Out of the three, this is the one I have only most recently started to use and it is lovely! This has a gorgeous lightweight gel texture that is instantly cooling on the skin, it is a delight to use in the warmer weather and I have been using it day and night for a week or two as it is just so nice. It seems to suit my combination skin quite well, it does not sit on the skin and seems to sink in well without leaving my skin shiny, or left wanting more. Again, like the other two products this is fragranced, you notice it upon application but afterwards there is no trace of it. I think this is quite expensive for what it is though, especially when I compare it against the other two products in the kit. That being said, it is a lovely product and I would be inclined to pick it up myself in the future in a kit such as this as it is the better deal as opposed to buying all three products seperately.
