Winter Skin with Ameliorate – AD/PR Product (This post contains products that have been sent to me for consideration as a PR sample only, all thoughts are my own).
So, it is that time of year once again when I find myself hunting for gifts for Christmas. This time last year I was pretty much done, I can’t say that I am as organised this time around. I’m about halfway done. Anyhow, I’m sure you’re not here to read about how I’m failing at Christmas shopping this year, you’re here to read about the Ameliorate Winter Kit Gift Set* which I was kindly gifted a couple of weeks ago. Of course having only just received this I am not in a position to review the products fully if at all in fact as I haven’t yet tried them, however, what I can tell you is that this brand has been very much on my radar having heard so many good things about the Transforming Body Lotion.
In fact, about three weeks before I was approached about this gift set, I did purchase the Transforming Body Lotion from a local supermarket as it was on a really good offer. So, I now have two. I am naturally very happy about this because as I say, the reviews are very very good and I am really looking to tackle some imperfections (bumpiness) on my legs in particular; I am hopeful that this will do the trick!
The Ameliorate Winter Kit Gift Set is aimed at dull, dry and dehydrated skin This set retails at £76 and it is worth £108.50. At the retail price, it is a great buy, however, at the time of writing you can pick it up for £49.40. I assume that this is a Black Friday deal so if you fancy it, snap it up now. The Transforming Body Lotion appears to be their best selling product. It is specifically aimed at those with Keratosis Pilaris which from what I can is quite a common skin condition. It usually consists of small bumps on your skin, common places being the backs of your arms and on your legs. I think I have this to a mild extent, hence why I purchased the Body Lotion a few weeks ago as it contains AHA’s which are great for exfoliating the skin. I haven’t yet tried it as I am just finishing off something else, this will be the next body lotion I open though as I am keen to see if it will make any difference. As I said, the reviews are great!
As always, with anything containing AHA’s you should make sure you’re using SPF. That being said, you should be doing that regardless.
The product sizes in this kit are fantastic, you are getting seven full-sized products. for an amazing price. Overall, I think it is a great kit to pick up in order to test out the range as there is a wide variety of Ameliorate products inside.
