For a long time I had read such good things about the LUSH Tea Tree Toner that even I find myself quite surprised at just how long it took me to hand over my pennies in store. At the beginning of June I attended a blogger event whereby part of the day involved a little lock in at the Birmingham LUSH store. Along with a few other ladies I had the privilege of being toured around the store and was able to hear about the products from the super friendly and enthusiastic staff that worked there.
Whilst I was having a browse at the products on offer I found myself coming face to face with this toner, yes that toner that people raved about. At £3.95 for the small bottle I quickly placed this into my rather full basket and made my way to the checkout before I spotted anything else to add to my bag.
The LUSH Tea Tree Toner is an antibacterial and antiseptic based toner which is aimed at those with oily or spot prone skin. Of course having a complexion that is prone to a few break outs here and there this product appealed to me quite a lot, I also really liked the sound of the antibacterial properties because before this product came into my life nothing in my routine (that I can think of) had these properties. Being within a spray bottle I was a bit sceptical at how I would get on with this as in the past I’ve not been a fan of this particular form of application, I can simply never get used to water being sprayed in my face. Having said that I found that this product applied nicely and if I held it not too close to my face I was able to achieve a nice fine mist of toner which felt quite nice.
Generally I tend to use this of an evening after I have cleansed and before I use my serum and night cream. I’m not entirely sure if I’m using it at the correct time therefore feel free to correct me on that one. The toner itself feels nice as I have mentioned and smells quite refreshing; overall it is a product that I do look forward to using at night time. Since I have incorporated this product into my regime I have to say I have noticed that my break outs have reduced. I’m not going to full out say that this is completely down to this product alone although personally I do think it has made quite a difference to my skin.
At the moment it is a product that I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again and again, it’s super cheap, it lasts a long time and is effective on my skin. Of course as always LUSH products are cruelty free which is something I do like to support where I can; that’s just one more positive thing about this product. In terms of packaging this sports the traditional black plastic of LUSH products which is something I don’t really mind, it’s iconic to the brand and makes them stand out which is something I like.
So there we have it, yet another LUSH product that has made its way into my home; this is becoming a habit. What else should I try?
