I’m rather a big fan of Topshop nail polishes, I think they’re great value
for money and what with there being a rather huge range to choose from I
certainly have no complaints. I popped into my local store recently just to
have a ‘browse’; let’s face it that never ends well. Whilst in there I found
myself at the makeup section, where I spotted some new nail polishes, these were
the HolographicNail Polishes.
I have yet to try any holographic nail polishes from any brand ao whilst there was a 2 for £8 on them I decided to pick two up, one being the
holographic polish called ‘Wistful’ and the other being a normal nail polish in
the shade ‘Chase’.
As far as I’m aware there are currently three shades in the
holographic nail polishes, with the pink version I have being ‘Wistful’, there
is also a silver finish called ‘Winterfrost’ and a blue finish called ‘Moondance’.
I find that the effect shows up straight after the first application and I
do honestly think you can get away with just the one coat of this as it is rather
opaque. Here above I’m wearing two coats of the polish but I think that this is out of habit more
than anything as I never feel like I’ve painted my nails properly with just one
coat.
These dry pretty fast so once they’re dry I just pop on a layer of clear
topcoat which does not impact upon the holographic effect in anyway.
I’m rather smitten with this nail polish as it is so different to anything I
own within my collection; therefore this was a completely justifiable purchase!
