The Blogger Made Me Buy It Tag!

I was recently tagged by the lovely Danniella over at Famous in Japan and Brittany at Life Set Sail to take part in ‘The Blogger Made Me Buy It Tag’. This tag was originally created by Danniella and I have to say it’s pretty darn good, I know I certainly have been influenced by all the beauty bloggers out there; have you?

Who are your most influential bloggers?  Who are the ones that you really rely on for reviews and swatches?

There are many blogs that I read however there are two in particular which I always find myself going back to in order to see good swatches of products and to read honest opinions, these are Sleep and Water and The Sunday Girl. If you haven’t already had the pleasure of reading these two blogs then I thoroughly recommend checking them out.

Do you buy a product solely as a result from one review from your favourite bloggers, or do you look for more reviews from others?

I always look for more than one review on something as what may work for one person may not work for others. It is good to build up a general consensus of a product before you spend your money as here in the UK we can’t take things back. The only time I’ve ever caved and purchased something without reading further reviews was when Essiebutton spoke about the nail polish ‘Rose Libertine’. I went out and picked that up pretty soon after as it looked gorgeous and I can assure you it was.

What is your most favourite item that you have ever bought as a consequence of blogs?

I would of here said the Naked 2 palette however that was technically a gift so it wasn’t something I spent my own money on. Therefore I would have to go with Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish for this question, I love it!

What is your least favourite item that you have ever bought as a consequence of blogs?

My least favourite product I have purchased would have to be the Bourjois Liner Feutre Liquid Eye Liner. I had seen this achieve a few positive reviews in the past so once I had to buy a new liquid liner this was the one I went for. I was left incredibly disappointed with this product as it was such poor quality, it was patchy and hardly any of the product came out of the nib so to speak. This was a complete waste of money and I would definitely not buy it again.

Name 5 products you have bought recently as a result of blogs.

Recently? This will have to span back a few months as I haven’t purchased that much to be honest. I picked up the Origins Night A Mins at the very end of December as I had read so much about this night cream. Just before Christmas I purchased the LUSH Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar after seeing the numerous blog posts about him. Back in August I purchased the Origins GinZing moisturiser due to all the hype, I’m so glad I picked it up as it is a lovely daytime moisturiser. I’ve also picked up the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eye Shadow Paints and the Lemonade Lanolips during autumn 2013.

Have you ever given into blogger hype?  If so, which hype?

Yes….all I will say is Maybelline Baby Lips.

Have you ever avoided blogger hype?  If so, which hype?

Yep, I have so far refrained from buying the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette as whilst it looks super lovely I can’t quite justify it as I think I prefer the colours in the Naked 2.

Is everything you buy based on blogger reviews or are there some items you buy without checking out a review?

I read many more reviews now before I buy anything however I do sometimes purchase things on a whim…what a rebel!

That’s all folks!

I tag Kirsty, Jennie, Celina, Adrienne, Jess and anybody else that would like to take part.
