Last Sunday I turned the ripe old age of 25 whereby I spent the day with my family enjoying good food and a bit too much chocolate. On my birthday I received some lovely presents off my family and my friend therefore I thought I’d share with you a couple of the things I got on the day. I know I always enjoy these types of posts on other blogs that I read so I hope you all like this one.
First of all I received off my friend two OPI Nail Polishes which I’m really excited to try having never tried the brand before, the blue shade called ‘I don’t give a Rotterdam’ in particular looks really nice whereas the khaki ‘ uh-oh roll down the window’ I’m sure will be gracing my nails pretty rapidly as we head into the autumn months. She also treated me to the Stila All Over Shimmer Duo in the shade ‘kitten’ which is stunning! A gift from LUSH is always well received therefore I found myself really excited to be given two bath bombs; sex bomb and dragon’s egg. Both of these are ones that I have wanted to try for ages so these have made me incredibly happy, dragon’s egg in particular smells incredible! I’m going through a mini phase of LUSH products at the moment as I’m finding myself wanting to try everything.
My mum knows that I’m a huge fan of the Rifle Paper & Co stationary therefore she surprised me with the third journal in the range that I have being collecting. She also treated me to some pamper goodies from the brand Love & Toast which is one I have heard of before but have never tried. This was a lovely gift to receive although I’m beginning to wonder if I smell or something having received lots of bathing goodies! Jokes aside I really enjoy receiving these types of gifts as of course being a beauty blogger I enjoy trying out new products. Mum also got me a cute little money box as I’m forever leaving bits of change hanging around on my desk.
Lana Del Rey is one of my favourite artists at the moment, I adore her style and of course her music. Her first album is one that I have played over and over so to hear that she was releasing a new one earlier on this year excited me to no end. Off my dad and other relatives I received some money which I used to buy my very own Olivia Burton watch that I’d had my eye on ever since I saw that it was being released. After ordering it from The Dressing Room it arrived just yesterday afternoon of which if you follow me on instagram you would have seen me post a picture of it. I’ll definitely be writing a post all about that watch as it is without doubt the most beautiful thing I own, it’s simply stunning.
My birthday was a really nice day despite being one year older! I had some lovely things off my family and had overall a really nice day indeed, thank you to everyone that made my day special. Of course I’d like to mention here a thank you to all the birthday wishes I received off you guys on twitter and instagram, you’re all such a lovely bunch! The only downside to my day was Kimi crashing in the first lap at the Silverstone Grand Prix, drat!
