A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending a small blogger event at the Lancôme counter in Selfridges situated in the Birmingham Bullring. Being new to Lancôme myself I was rather excited as I thoroughly enjoy trying out new brands and of course learning about the products, particularly the skincare that is on offer. I attended the event with a few of my favourite bloggers; Aimee, Vanessa and Paige who are a fantastic bunch of ladies who I met back at the beginning of June at my first blogger event.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Lydia who is the Selfridges Lancôme Business Manager who provided for us drink and nibbles whilst we had a little talk about Lancôme. She also demonstrated some products on Paige who looked truly stunning afterwards; I’m still eyeing up the lip gloss that Lydia used on her as it was so beautiful on.
Of course I couldn’t leave empty handed after attending such a lovely event therefore I picked up the Lancôme La Base Paupiéres Pro which is a long wear eye shadow base, this type of product was one that I was missing in my collection after I lost my Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer a while back. I had being considering buying a Mac Paint Pot for the sole purpose of preventing eye shadow creasing however seeing as I was already at the Lancôme event I thought I would give that one a try whereby I have to say that since I have being using it I’m super impressed. Seeing as there was also a free gift with purchase when you purchased two products I also picked up the Hypnose Classic Mascara Duo which as the name would suggest was two mascaras, one for me and one for my mum. Lydia also very kindly put some Swarovski crystals on each of my purchases which was really kind of her and made my purchases that extra bit special.
Overall I had such a fantastic evening. It was a pleasure to hang out with the girls again and do something a little bit different on my evening after work. Learning about Lancôme and of course trying out some new products was really exciting therefore I’d certainly recommend everybody to stop by their local counter and have a look as to what is on offer.
Before I finish I’d like to say a huge thank you to the girls for making the evening so enjoyable and of course to Lydia for being a fabulous host! I’d also like to thank Vanessa for the invite and Aimee for letting me use her three pictures from the event, she’s got a great little camera which I should definitely invest in myself.
Have you tried anything from Lancôme?
