Out of all of the tags that I have ever taken part in I have to say categorically that this one has had me the most excited. The Harry Potter Tag is pure brilliance if you ask me, of course being a complete and utter Harry Potter nerd this isn’t much of a surprise. I found this over on Make Up Etc by Louise so be sure to head over to her blog to see what her answers were.
1. What is your favourite book?
The answer for the first question was quite easy for me as hands down my favourite book has to be The Order Of The Phoenix. For me this is the book where things start to get real serious! After the devastation of book four where Voldermort made his return and we have the loss of a Hogwarts student I find that book five sets us all on the path whereby we start to see the beginning of a new war against Voldermort. Book five delves so much deeper into the plot and creates a much darker world of magic that we have up until this moment not experienced.
2. What is your favourite film?
For me my favourite film would have to be the last, as despite being a huge fan of the books I found myself not really being that struck on the films. Having said that as the actors got older and matured I did enjoy them a lot more.
3. What is your least favourite book?
My least favourite book is definitely the first one simply because it is the first one and so much happens throughout the series that it’s hard for me to revert back to the beginning. I do however love re-reading the scene where Harry first finds out that he is a wizard and where Ron and Harry first meet Hermoine. I find it so magical how such good friends they all become after they fight the troll in the dungeon.
4. What is your least favourite film?
Again I have to say my least favourite film is the first one, simply because the actors are so young. Sorry.
5. Which parts of the books/films made you cry?
In all honesty there haven’t been any parts that have made me cry although I was beyond gutted when a certain character fell through the veil.
6. If you could hook up with any character who would it be?
Sirius Black. Let me tell you MY Sirius Black is pretty handsome to say the least.
7. Who is your favourite character?
This question is incredibly tough because I have so much love for so many of the characters in the books that I find it hard to narrow it down to just the one. Starting off with Harry he is the hero of the books and will always be, his courage, bravery and kindness are all traits that I admire. Ron has made me laugh out loud so many times that it is untrue, especially when paired up with his two twin brothers Fred and George. Hermoine was a character that it took a little for me to warm to however I grew to love her and actually found bits of myself in her at times throughout the series. I’m a bit of a stickler for rules, I love my books like her and always got my work in on time. Outside of the magnificent trio I actually really liked the character Bellatrix Lestrange, I know she was a bad gal but something about her really intrigued me. It doesn’t help that one of my favourite actresses played her on screen; Helena Bonham Carter made the perfect Bellatrix.
8. Who is your least favourite character?
My least favourite character would have to be Rita Skeeter without a doubt. Whilst she was an incredible character in terms of a role I found her ruthlessness and lies to be such a horrible trait, I loathed her! Writing that sentence made me also think of Umbridge, what a cruel woman she was. I hope the Centaurs got their revenge!
9. What is your least favourite line?
I have no least favourite line however if I had to pick one I would choose ‘all was well’, this is because it is the last line of a truly incredible series.
10. What would your Patronus be?
I’m not entirely sure here however I’d like to think it would be of the feline variety. Some of you may know that I’m a huge cat lover.
11. If you could have the invisibility cloak, resurrection stone or elder wand, which would you choose?
The Elder Wand.
12. What house would you be in?
I’d like to think I’d be a Gryffindor as when it comes down to it I know I can be brave, honest! Having said that I think whilst sitting under the sorting hat I think he would be toying between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor for me as I’m quite into education and like achieving academic success. Although because you can effectively pick where you want to go (Harry pretty much did) I’d definitely pick Gryffindor.
13. If you could meet any member of the cast who would it be?
Helena Bonham Carter.
14. If you were on the Quidditch team, what position would you play?
I’d be a Chaser! That looks like such a good role to play and reminds me of netball only on a broomstick.
15. Were you happy with the ending?
I’m going out on a limb here and saying no. Where the film is concerned I wish it had simply ended with all three of them on the bridge at Hogwarts where Harry snaps the Elder Wand. For the books I didn’t really want to see into the future, as I still wanted more; I also found Harry’s child’s name to be a bit cheesy.
16. How much does Harry Potter mean to you?
A lot. I don’t think I can quite express to anybody just how much this series of books means to me. I started reading them when I was 11 years old and grew up with them into adulthood. To this day I will continue to read Harry Potter, it’s part of my heart.
You’re all tagged! Please do let me know if you do this as I would truly love to read your answers.
