This post has been long overdue as I have being hanging onto these empty products for longer than I care to admit. I know to people who do not blog about beauty that the concept of keeping empty products to then photograph and write about at a later date seems odd, yet if I’m honest they do tend to be one of my favourite types of posts to read. For me these types of posts provide an overall summary of how the product worked for that person, meaning that there is a chance that any original opinions may have ultimately changed come end of the product. I find that quite interesting and more often than not a true representation of how that person overall felt about it.
Starting off with skincare, I have sadly finished off my Origins Gin Zing Energy Boosting Moisturiser which incidentally happened to be my very first Origins purchase. I picked this up not long after its initial release last year when everybody seemed to be reaching for it left right and centre. I have to say that as we have hit the warmer weather (well as warm as it ever gets here) that I have missed this a little within my routine, although due to my surplus of moisturisers at the moment I have refrained from repurchasing. Next year I definitely would consider picking this up again because I really did get along with this quite well.
I have also finished off yet another sample of the Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment* which is already a product I have claimed to love. This time around I can still confirm that I absolutely adore this product as it leaves my skin looking so clean, to date this is the most impressive in terms of removing those pesky blackheads. Having said that what I do notice with this product is that the effects are only short term, meaning that I feel as though I want to use is very regularly which when I think about the price isn’t exactly a good thing.
Back in June last year I attended my very first blogging event where on that occasion as a group we all got to go to LUSH and hear about the various products that they produce. I was kindly given a few items to try with the Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub* being one of them. I had being rationing this product in all honestly as whilst I do really like LUSH I do find that their products can be expensive, and that is only because they’re the type of product which generally don’t tend to last that long. Despite that negative element I did quite like this as it provided a rather nice exfoliation, especially for the knees and elbows.
It was finally time to say goodbye to the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara* because it was a year old…cringe! I actually didn’t realise it had been in my possession that long, last July only seemed like yesterday; honest. I liked this however I didn’t love it therefore this wouldn’t be something that I would go out and buy myself in the future. When it comes to high street mascaras I think it is very hard to beat Max Factor.
One of my favourite fragrances for a very long time now has been Givenchy Very Irresistable. I have got through a couple of those in my time which is why this is the only fragrance that I have ever had in a small purse friendly size; I truly do like it that much. I never thought I would be one for little purse sprays like this yet since I first started using it I have found it to be so handy, it sure was nice to have a little spray of this on my lunch hour as it made me feel a little refreshed for the rest of the afternoon.
