We all know by now that I love nothing more than to test out a new skincare brand. Last year Aurelia Probiotic Skincare started to crop up on many of the blogs that I was reading at the time, to say I was curious about this brand would be somewhat of an understatement.
For a little while Aurelia Probiotic Skincare wasn’t widely available, however the brand has recently launched over on Beauty Expert which has helped to make it more accessible. Over the last few months I have been lucky enough to be given a couple of the products to try out for myself, so I am here with some quick fire beauty reviews and my overall thoughts on the products so far.
Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Miracle Cleanser*
This little cleanser has recently scooped up a Beauty Bible award, therefore I had high hopes when I started to use this, not least because it was the product which was highlighted by so many of my favourite bloggers last year. In comparison to most cream cleansers I have used in the past this is most certainly one of the lightest in terms of texture. Due to the fact this is a bit more of a luxury I have opted to use this as my second cleanse, however in terms of makeup removal it did do a good job, although it wasn’t something I used around my eyes as I strictly do only use a micellar water for my eye makeup.
Lightly scented with eucalyptus, rosemary, bergamot and chamomile, this really is quite a delight to use, especially on a warm evening when you have arrived home from work. After use my skin feels hydrated and clean, without feeling stripped of moisture. This is most certainly one of the nicest cleansers that I have used in a long time, although I will admit that the price is not the most friendly for those who are on a budget.
Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Refine and Polish Miracle Balm*
The second product can be used in a couple of ways as whilst you can simply use this as a gentle exfoliator, you can also, by leaving this on for around five minutes use this as an enzyme mask. For the sake of five minutes I do tend to just leave this on my skin, potter around for a bit and then simply wash it off, where upon doing so the balm turns to a milky consistency. The texture of this balm is almost gel like, although granted it does have quite a thick texture for a gel. Within this there are small rice bran beads which are incredibly gentle on the skin which buff away dead skin cells and then wash off with ease upon rinsing your face.
Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Revitalise and Glow Serum*
This serum is essentially an anti-ageing serum; in which this wasn’t something I was aware of when I first started using it. Its purpose is to restore moisture and luminosity to the skin all whilst helping to prevent your skin from ageing. A concentrated serum built up of pure botanicals, with probiotics and peptide technologies which target the areas which need them the most. The serum is milky in colour and feels cooling upon application to the skin. I have been using this of a morning after I have cleansed and toned, whereby I have noticed that it really does help my skin to appear more radiant and youthful. The serum sinks in quite quickly on my skin and it does not leave it feeling tacky in the slightest.
Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Cell Repair Night Oil*
Without a doubt out of all four products which I have featured here today, it is this one which has the nicest scent. It is naturally fragranced with neroli, lavender, rose and mandarin which together work beautifully. To me this is a gorgeous blend of fragrances which are incredibly relaxing; it is the perfect scent for a night oil. Overnight this will hydrate the skin and soothe it so that you are left with a smoother and more refined complexion come the morning hours. It has only been in the last week in which I have started using this particular product, therefore it is still very early days for me to comment on this one in terms of a review, although so far I have to say that my skin is seeming to be reaping the benefits of this night oil so I will continue to use this with enthusiasm throughout the next few weeks.
