BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector | Moonstone

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Moonstone

This year was the year in which I stepped back from luxury beauty, the main reason being that funds have just not allowed it. You cannot go on holiday, pay uni fees out of your own pocket and have the spare money to drop the odd £30 here and there on expensive beauty products. However, I may have felt the need to pick up something a little bit special recently, let’s just call it a little treat for having worked myself into the ground lately. Step forward the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone!

Throughout this year I have seen a couple of new shades join the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Line, they have all looked beautiful, however two from the original line had caught my interest the most; those being Opal and Moonstone. After deliberating for a while online I decided to order the shade Opal from Cult Beauty, which I soon realised, and after a very quick email to them, that this was going to be too dark for my skin tone.

Cult Beauty are so good with their dispatching that this had already been sent the following day therefore my order could not be changed. They were, however super helpful and sorted out my exchange extremely quick, their service is top notch and I would highly recommend shopping with them.

Anyhow I digress, back to the highlighter. Moonstone is absolutely stunning, I could not be happier. It is the perfect pale gold shimmer which looks beautiful on the skin. It is extremely pigmented when swatched but it isn’t over the top. It is build-able which I prefer as I like control over my make up, because for every day you don’t need to go out looking super glam, unless of course that is what you’re looking for.

I like the phrase ‘less is more’ when it comes to my make up, I prefer the natural look, however that does not mean that you cannot use highlight, in fact it is an aid to you. It helps to enhance your natural bone structure and highlight points which reflect the light naturally, it provides a little helping hand and is quite often a life saver on those dark and gloomy mornings when you are perhaps not feeling quite awake yet but have to be out the door in five minutes for work.

If you’re looking to add a little something special to your make up routine this Christmas then I could not recommend the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors more. I would however go and try them in store or do your research online to ensure that you pick up the correct shade for you as there are now quite a few to choose from.

The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors can be found on Cult Beauty and retail at £32.
