A few weeks ago I turned the grand old age of 30. Yes, 30. I struggled with the idea at first, but since that day has passed I haven’t thought about it for one more second. It’s another year older as they say and perhaps even wiser, although that is somewhat debatable.
As you know, I went to Paris for my birthday/qualification as a Solicitor, you can read more about that trip here. It was such a wonderful place to visit and I could not recommend it more; I adored it. Of course, I received some lovely gifts from my family and friends in order to celebrate and I thought that I would take the opportunity today to share a few of those with you. I’m never quite sure whether to write these types of posts, however, I know that I quite like to read them myself so hopefully, some of you do too!

From my work colleagues, I received a lovely little Coach clutch bag which I managed to forget to include in this photograph, along with chocolates, a fancy umbrella and a gift card to spend. I chose to spend my gift card (after much deliberation) at Feel Unique in order to purchase the Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips JK Magic Lipstick. I had wanted this since the day I first saw it but couldn’t quite bring myself to spend my money on it at the time due to my Paris trip being on the horizon. I am so happy with the shade I chose and I cannot express how nice the packaging is, it is even more glorious than the images you see online. I can’t wait to add a few more to my collection! From my Dad I received money, a new case for my camera and the most amazing Disney Mug from the Disney store in Paris, however, once again I forgot to include it within my photos. I was gutted when I realised because it is so nice and of course it will always remind me of our trip, however, I didn’t have the time to re-photograph everything, unfortunately.
I also received a lovely bright yellow Cross pen from my friends, along with this super cute Joules Bumble Bee keyring which I am saving for something special. Along with those I also picked up the Olivia Bonas Velvet Constellation Bag which I have admired for a long time, this was a bit of a treat to myself for my birthday which I actually picked up a month or so prior. I think it is so incredibly beautiful, although I am worried about using it for makeup in case it ruins it, therefore I may look to using it for something else.

My sister treated me to a gorgeous bag from River Island which I fell in love with, it is so pretty and I adore the colour scheme! I just need a nice occasion to use it for now. River Island doesn’t appear to have this particular colour in stock online anymore, although, they do have other variations of it which are quite nice. Finally, with some of the money I received, I purchased the Drunk Elephant Get Event Kit from SpaceNK. This was a bit of a big purchase as I appreciate that this brand isn’t all that affordable, however, I felt that by purchasing this kit that it was the most affordable way to try some of these products without completely breaking the bank, I also had a code which brought down the price a bit, fortunately. At present I haven’t used any of these due to the fact that I am currently trialling several gifted skincare products from Dermalogica, which I have to say, are fantastic!
There are also a few other gifts I received which I haven’t shared on here today, mainly because they are more personal. I’ve also eaten a lot of the chocolates. I am so grateful for what I was treated to and for how special people made my birthday. and I truly hope that you have enjoyed reading this post.
