It has been ages since I shared with you a new fragrance on here. This reminds me that I am somewhat long overdue an updated fragrance collection post, would this be interesting to you? I think the last time I did one was back in 2013, which is such a long time ago and I have to tell you, a lot has changed since then. I will put it on my to-do list as I think it will be quite enjoyable to put together, however, be prepared, there are quite a few to share with you; I adore fragrance.
So, without further ado, let me introduce to you the latest one to my collection. It is the Herbae par L’Occitane L’Eau* which the team kindly sent over to me a few weeks ago. This is my first L’Occitane fragrance and I note that they have an even newer one out which is based on green tea which I find quite intriguing I have to say. L’Occitane appear to have a nice little selection of fragrance and I must admit, it isn’t the first place I would think of to pick up a new one but after testing this out I will be making a trip to a store (when they are finally open) to test out some of their other scents.
Herbae par L’Occitane L’Eau I would say is one of the most floral fragrances in my collection. It is quite strong at first and takes a good few minutes to settle down on the skin, once it has done, I find it wearable and quite pleasant, it is quite a fresh fragrance with a citrus twist to it which becomes more apparent after it has been worn for a few minutes. The fragrance is described on the website as shown below.
Top notes: Lemon Essence, Bergamot Essence. Angelica
Heart notes: White Clover Accord, Marshmallow Absolute, Jasmine Absolute
Base notes: Holy Grass Absolute, Musk, Blond Wood.
In truth, it is not a fragrance that I am reaching for all of the time. I find that it is a scent that I would associate with those that are a little older than me, that being said, it is nice and I will use it up. I would be keen to hear what my mum thinks of it actually which in hindsight, I should have got her opinion on it before I wrote this post. If I do that in the next few weeks, I will edit this section just so I can share with you her opinion on it.
In terms of the packaging, I like it, it’s cute, pretty looking and it makes me think of a flower even though the design of the bottle doesn’t illustrate that perhaps it is to do with the green tube in the middle which makes me think of a ‘stem’ from a flower. Either way, I like it.
For 50ml, the fragrance retails at £52 which I think is consistent with the prices of L’occitane products in general.
