October has been a funny old month, I am very glad that it is almost over in truth, however before we hit November, there is still time to pick your Latest in Beauty October Edit and snap up the Hall of Fame for this month. It’s Laura Mercier, don’t you know?
I thought the selection of products for October was pretty good, there were some great sizes too if you were lucky enough to be picking your products as they came online. As you know, there is a new product which launches each day of the week so you have to make the decision as to when to make your selection. Some products might sell out within a day or so, others will still be there for the whole month so it can be a bit of a gamble as to when you order and what is available at the time. It is all good though, I have never really had any issues in picking the products which take my fancy.
I have to say, this has been one of my favourite edits by far in terms of what I chose. I am a big skincare junkie so I went in on the heavy stuff this month, by that I mean that my edit mainly consisted of skincare and I am more than happy with that. I chose the following:
- SkinSense Highly Potent Night Cream – 50ml
- SkinSense Purifying Double Cleanse – 200ml
- SkinSense Targeted Wrinkle Defence – 15ml
- SkinCity Mellow Balm Cleanser – 75ml
- Nail HQ All in One Solution for Nails – 10ml
- Laura Mercier Rouge Essentiel Lipstick in shade A La Rose.
You also get a free Estee Lauder Hand Sanitizer with any orders this month which is an added bonus, as of course, we all need to have some of this with us on our travels.
Now looking at what is still available, it looks like the majority of the SkinSense products have all sold out which does not surprise me one bit. I haven’t tried this brand before but it certainly sounds nice and as I said at the beginning, there were some great full sizes here which is a great offering, especially if you want to try something out at a more advantageous price. However, there are still some amazing products up for grabs, if you like your makeup then head for NARS (there is a lip pencil and eyeliner) and Laura Mercier for the hall of fame lipstick. For skin, I would definitely recommend trying the Polaar SPF50 which I have recently used up having purchased it within a different Beauty Box back in June; I would repurchase this as it is a great SPF.
