After starting this series back in October last year I’ve finally found myself drawing it to a conclusion with The Muji Files Part 6. I sure hope that everyone has enjoyed this series as much as I have, it has been fun sharing with you all my make up collection and hearing your thoughts on what I have shared; thank you all so much for such positive feedback!
For the final instalment I have here the lipstick overflow which is basically where I store some of my most worn lipsticks on the top of my Muji storage in a little acrylic lipstick holder. I picked mine up off eBay a while back now for something like £6, it matches the storage I have already which is great and it holds twelve lipsticks which I is a relatively nice number. It offers me a lot of choice without it being too overwhelming and allows me to keep my lipsticks on rotation so that I use them all frequently.
I tend to keep my MAC Lipsticks on the very top as they’re probably my most worn aside from my lip crayons (which incidentally don’t fit), my favourites are Plumful and Patisserie. Both of those shades are utterly beautiful and are so comfortable to wear too which is why they’ll both be repurchases in the future. Whilst I tend to find myself picking up Plumful more in the autumn time I do find that Patisserie is a shade that I reach for almost every single time, it’s my go to nude and has been for a while now.
The Revlon Lip Butters are an old favourite of mine and will always remain so, they will always remind me of when I first starting blogging when everybody went crazy for them. Out of the shades I own it is Juicy Papaya that I wear the most as it is a beautiful soft orange with a hint of coral making it absolutely perfect for the summer. It makes me sad to think that actually these are getting a little bit old now so I should probably consider throwing them out at the end of this year; it’s high time I started to use these up! Who else can find themselves a little bit too attached to certain make up items? I know I sure can.
Other notable mentions go out to my only Bobbi Brown Lipstick in the shade ‘Pink Flush’ which was part of the Nude Glow limited edition collection released last year. Out of all the collections that I have so far seen the Nude Glow collection had to be one of my favourites, if not the favourite as for me it ticked all the boxes, the shades were so elegant and natural all whilst packaged up in simple yet stunning silver packaging. If there is one brand I’d like to try more from this year then it would be Bobbi Brown, the skincare in particular.
Do you have one too many lipsticks? It’s funny as I never used to wear them at all, tinted lip balm was as far as I would ever go; who would have thought it!
