Each year I put a bit of money to one side, along with, of course, my Boots points which I collect throughout the year in order to pick up a few things in the Boxing Day Sales. When I say things, I nine times out of ten mean perfume. Last year I went slightly overboard with the perfume haul on Boxing Day, on the other hand, it did pay off having only purchased one perfume throughout the year. You can read all about my Boxing Day Sales haul last year here. There are some great savings to be made, especially when you have Boots points as I was able to purchase one of the sets this year completely outright with the points that I had collected. I also purchased a fragrance with my points during the Star Gift week at Boots which occurred before Christmas, that being the Hugo Boss The Scent for Her Intense which was down to £40 at the time. I didn’t include that in this post as technically it wasn’t part of the Boxing Day deals.
This year I decided to pick up another two gift sets from Jack Wills. I quite like this brand and the sets that they release at Christmas time, however I know that there will always be some left come Boxing Day so I do hold back on picking up my favourites. I picked up two which had tickled my fancy before Christmas, the first being the Jack Wills Travel Kit which contained a 250ml Body Wash and Body Lotion, along with a Body Scrub 75ml and a gorgeous burgundy wash bag. Last year I picked up something similar and loved it, however, I had a bit of a mishap with the washbag which has resulted in me having to throw it away due to the fact that it was ruined; this clearly justified buying a new one this year
I also opted for the Jack Wills Mug and Socks Gift Set due to the fact that I am a sucker for a nice big mug and trust me, this is huge. I also really like Jack Wills socks, they’re so soft and comfy. They did do something similar for men too, whereby in hindsight I do regret not picking this up for my boyfriend as we could have been one of those couples with matching mugs…
Speaking of mugs, I decided to treat myself to a travel mug. I have never owned one before and in truth, I am struggling to think of an opportunity where I can use one as I don’t typically catch the train very much these days. I drive to work so I think the only time I could use it is when I am commuting back and forth that way and no doubt sitting in traffic, I think this will be ok; it will make a nice change to my drive. If you’re curious, this one is from Totes Barley Lane and cost just £8 in the sale, it also came with some cute mittens.
It is almost time to wrap up this post, and indeed the last one of 2018. Whilst this may be true for now, I have two more products to share with you from my Boxing Day purchases. Those being the Gucci Bloom Nettare di Fiori Perfume and the Giorgio Armani Si Passione. I had wanted these fragrances all year and had held off on the off chance that I would find them come Boxing Day.
Gucci Bloom comes in three different variations, it would, of course, be typical that I like the most expensive of all three, what can I say. In respect of Giorgio Armani Si Passione, I do own the original which I just adore so when I first saw that this version was being released I instantly popped down to my local Boots to try it out. It was as some would say, love at first sight, or scent as the case may be. If you haven’t tried either of these fragrances as of yet then I would recommend checking them out if you do get the chance.
