Gifted (This post contains products which have been gifted to me for consideration, all thoughts are my own).
The first product which I have being trialling out is the Erborian Bamboo Glow Moisturiser* which aims to hydrate the skin and deliver a radiant glow. Firstly, I love the packaging and the colour scheme, this is something which caught my attention straight away. The cream itself is more of a gel consistency than a cream which does make this quite nice for the spring/summer time in my opinion as it is nice and light. If you are looking for something rich then this probably isn’t for you. I would definitely say that it is for more oily/combination skin types that are suffering from dehydration. Although it is worth mentioning that it is not specified on the product itself what skin type this is primarily aimed at.
As I mentioned, it is a gel texture which is cooling and light on the skin which does I feel hydrate my skin fairly well. I would also note that it makes my skin feel so smooth, in fact, silky smooth. This is something which has stood out to me in comparison to other moisturisers in the past. Under makeup this does work well, I don’t find that it interacts negatively with my base products which is always something I look out for with a moisturiser. Overall I like this, however I can’t really advise that I have seen any results to suggest that this has a ‘glow’ boosting affect to my skin. That being said, as a moisturiser, I do like it.
The second product is the Erborian BB Drops* which you can use on top of your moisturiser or mixed in with your base product. I tend to use this on top of my moisturiser first and then I apply a bit of my foundation. I find that it offers extremely sheer coverage this way which for me is not what I want when I am going to work, however, it is ok for when I am just plodding around the house and not expecting any visitors.
What I do like about this though is how it makes my skin feel, as again, much like the moisturiser above it creates a really smooth canvas for the next product in the line. It also evens out my skin tone by offering the sheer coverage at the start, it is a great product to use for preparing your skin for makeup. I like it and will happily use it, however, do wonder if perhaps it is a bit of an unnecessary step for me.
Erborian also has a range of different lotions available, of which I have three. The Erborian Bamboo Matte Lotion* works towards minimising pores and tackling excess sebum, therefore, making the skin less oily. This product requires you to shake it before use as it contains the mattifying powder, whereby upon use it creates a mattifying effect on the skin. Overall I found this quite pleasant to use, it also has a lovely refreshing scent although out the three this was probably my least favourite. The second lotion is the Eau Ginseng Lotion* which is anti-ageing. To be honest I never really notice any difference with anti-ageing products as whilst I am now slightly entering that age where I should be considering them, I think that they are hard to really establish just how well they are working. That being said, this is a really nice hydrating lotion which I use after cleansing. Much like the third lotion, the Yuza Double Lotion* I have really enjoyed using these on my skin after cleansing but before I use my serum/moisturiser.
Sometimes I use them in the morning if I have time, although primarily I have opted to use them of an evening. My favourite would have to be the Yuza Double Lotion which moisturises protects the skin with its bi-phase solution. I have found this to be the most hydrating out of the three and the most soothing, it also smells divine. It smells quite sweet but not in a sickly way, it really is quite lovely. This has surprised me in truth as I tend to be a bit sceptical of this type of product.
Have you tried any skincare from Erborian?
