Once again a limited edition box has caught my eye over on Birchbox and once again I have failed in my attempt to put a hold on any new beauty purchases for a while. In truth, I felt like this was too good of a deal to miss out on. The Birchbox X Benefit Bold is Beautiful limited edition box (or in this case bag) has recently launched and sold out in record time. At a retail price of £28, with a value of £76, it was a great deal and also a great introduction to some of the products from Benefit. The sale proceeds from each sale of this box, minus the VAT go to the Bold is Beautiful project which is a campaign that supports local women’s charities in the UK.
In the past I have had very little experience with Benefit on a whole, despite having been blogging for a number of years now, I have only tried out two or three things. Having said that, I am a huge fan of the They’re Real Mascara as I find that this works so well on my lashes, it gives them so much volume and definition and it doesn’t flake on me either.
I thought on a whole that this limited edition would be a great way to try out a few new things from the brand whilst contributing towards a really good cause. As you can see, there are a number of products within this sparkly little bag which I think will be quite handy for storing some of my make up in when travelling. In terms of the bag itself, I do quite like it in truth, I get that some may not as it is quite bright and garish to some however I like it, it’s fun.
Inside the sparkly bag, you get two full-size products and four miniatures, although I personally think that most of them are actually decent sizes considering that they are not the full-sized thing, you should be able to get a good grasp on the product with these. The only one that is super small is the Pearl Primer but to be honest with you, I don’t mind that because I was never struck on the original Porefessional to begin with.
Inside the bag you will find the following six products:
- They’re Real Mascara (Full Size)
- High Brow Pencil (Full Size)
- Browvo Conditioning Primer
- Dandelion Twinkle
- The Porefessional Pearl Primer
- Precisely, My Brow Pencil
Overall I am rather happy with this, I think it is a great introduction to Benefit if like me you haven’t really had the opportunity to explore the brand properly.
Did you managed to pick up this limited edition from Birchbox?
