The Feel Unique Beauty Kit was something I stumbled upon at the end of January this year. Having been an avid shopper on Feel Unique over the years I am surprised at how I came to miss this; my conclusion is that it is something new and boy oh boy am I down for it. If you haven’t heard of this before then stay tuned, it may just be the answer you have been looking for if you are wanting to try new things, for an affordable price and receive decent sizes too. You also choose the five products yourself which makes this a win-win situation.
The kit is priced at £12 plus £3.95 postage. You do however receive a voucher after your purchase which essentially gives you the postage back to use on a future purchase which I think is good. I would advise that the voucher itself is only valid for 60 days so you would need to make a purchase during this time in order to redeem it. It is also important to note that you can only order one kit a month and one per household. For instance, I ordered my kit on the 21st of January, I then couldn’t order another until the 21st of February. In truth, I haven’t yet ordered another as I have spent too much on beauty products already this year so March is a strict no buy. That being said, I have built my kit already and hopefully, the products will still be in stock come April. I think it is a really good deal and that it is well worth checking out.
So, what did I choose for my first Feel Unique Beauty Kit?
When I was browsing the products on offer I immediately narrowed down three of my choices. The first two items I chose were from Lumene, one of which was a product which I held off buying last year as I wasn’t sure if it would be for me. That was the Lumene Instant Glow Fresh Skin Tint which is a light coverage moisturiser/foundation. When I saw that there was a 15ml size available in the medium shade I was over the moon, the exact product that I had wanted to try for three or four months previously. I, of course, chose that along with the Lumene Glow Reveal Moisturiser 15ml. Lumene is a brand which I have been interested in for a while now so I felt like this was a good opportunity to try a few more things out without having to commit to full sizes.
The third item I chose was the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Complexion Perfecting Micro-Powder. Now micro is certainly apt for this size as it really is tiny. I will have to use a small brush to use this properly however it is a nice handy travel size and it will still give me the opportunity to test this out to see how I get on with it. I must admit, I have never heard one bad thing about this product and I know it is very popular; this will probably be a purchase for this year as my current powder is quite old now and a bit of a faff to use as it is loose powder at that.
My final two products were just choices that I made on a bit of a whim. They are both new things to try from brands that I have enjoyed in the past. For my fourth product, I chose the Clarins Extra-Firming Eye Cream 7ml. This is a nice size I think as you never need to use much eye cream so it should last a little while and it should give me an indication as to whether I like it or not during that period. In respect of my last product, I opted for the Murad Essential-C Day Moisture with SPF30 10ml. Murad is a brand which has cropped up again on my radar and in truth, I am not sure why it ever dropped off. Years ago I used a product from Murad (I can’t remember which), yet all I remember was how much I adored the texture and how it made my skin feel. I really should look that up and browse what they have to offer for later on in the year when my beauty spending is under control once more.
You also get a little see-through bag with a zipper on it which is actually a rather nice size. As far as I know, you get one of these every time you make one of these orders, which is perhaps nice enough if you get one or two, but maybe there should be an option to opt-out of the bag if you don’t want another. For instance, if I get another come April, I will just give the bag to my mum as I know she would use it for bits and bobs in her handbag, yet after that, I wouldn’t really have use for a third.
