You know, I never really know whether to post about a limited edition product once it is no longer available. That being said, I know as a beauty consumer myself I love to discover new brands, websites etc that have great deals, even if something specific has sold out. This is so that I can lookout for exciting new releases in the future and bear them in mind for next time. So, with that in mind, I thought I would share with you the Glossybox X Elemis Limited Edition Beauty Box.
I have personally been a subscriber to Glossybox since December and this was the first limited edition box to be released during my membership. Now, this box sold out in lightning speed and I know that there were a few snags along the way as there always is with releases like this. However, I personally didn’t have any issues ordering mine. I received my email alerting me to the fact that it was now available, clicked on it and purchased it a few minutes after release. I was at work at the time, purchased it on my mobile and it all went through fine. You do have to be quick though and you need to be a subscriber as a box such as this will sell out before it is released across the board, by that I mean, non-subscribers.
As a subscriber, I paid £40 for my box, non-subscribers would have paid £50. In total, the box was worth over £180 which I think made it one of the best beauty box releases so far in 2020. It was an absolute bargain and I am very glad I managed to get one.
Whilst I am not an Elemis veteran, I have tried several of their products and what I have tried I have always enjoyed. Products that spring to mind which were not in this box include the Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash and the Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm. The box itself contained one of my all-time favourite balms which is the original Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. I first reviewed that back in 2015 and to this day I still love it.
Inside the Glossybox X Elemis Limited Edition Box there were the following:
- Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream – 30ml
- Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Facial Oil – 15ml
- Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm – 20g
- Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Oxygenating Night Cream – 15ml
- Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel – 15ml
- Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Hydra-Gel Eye Mask – 1 Set
I am really looking forward to trying the Marine Facial Oil as this is one of the products that are new to me. Since purchasing this box I have used the Pro-Collagen Marine Hydra-Gel Eye Mask which I must admit, I was somewhat sceptical about prior to using it, however, I can confirm that I really liked the results. My eye area looked immediately refreshed, plump, hydrated and smooth. I liked these a lot and would consider picking a few up in the future in order to prep for a special occasion. A long time ago I used the Papaya Enzyme Peel, I’m talking around 2013 so it has been a while since I used this. I recall liking it, and I am looking forward to trying it once more now that I am seven years older.
Overall, this was a fantastic box. I think it was well edited and it contained all the classic products loved by so many. The only thing I would say, which is just an observation is that due to the unprecedented demand that perhaps more should be available, or, alternatively, there should be a limit to one per account until a certain time in order to allow everybody chance to pick up one. This was a great collaboration and I would love to see more boxes of this type of calibre in the future.
