It isn’t all too often, that an opportunity such as working with one of your favourite jewellery brands knocks on your door. When I first heard from Daisy London I was super shocked and super excited; I am not going to lie. For a good few years now I have admired from afar, I adore their delicate designs and some of their recent collaborations have been utterly fantastic. I do own two pieces already that I have purchased myself and I love them! I am so excited to share with you my third piece of Daisy London jewellery which I have been sent to feature.
Daisy London has a wide range of women’s rings so it was hard for me to ultimately make a choice. I did, in the end, settle on the Estee Lalonde Trinity Ring in 18ct Gold Plate* after much deliberation and I could not be happier with it. It is a stunning ring, it catches the light beautifully and it looks so gorgeous on. I am very tempted to order another ring or two to add to my hands now as I really like how this looks. I can be a bit funny with rings but this is perfect!
Receiving this gorgeous piece from Daisy Jewellery as I say had me really excited. I enjoyed taking the time out to create something a little different, something a bit more out of my comfort zone as let’s face it, how often do you see pictures of myself gracing my blog. It is very rare. I even went and did a little photoshoot last weekend and tried to incorporate the ring into that. In the end, I decided not to use those photos as they didn’t quite go with the style of the post I was trying to create, that being said, I enjoyed my time doing that and it allowed me to do so something different, something for me and it was really enjoyable. I would love to do it again sometime.
When creating the content for this post I wanted to produce something which was natural, not forced. I feel like Daisy London is a brand which celebrates women from all walks of life and all shapes and sizes; it is simply a brand for me which empowers women and I love that. They have a strong message and I really appreciate that as a woman just trying to find her place in this world. I took the above photo with no makeup on, fresh out of the shower and it has very minimal editing. I wanted it to be raw, me as I am and I kind of like it, although I am a little nervous about it at the same time. I don’t think I have ever posted a bare-faced photo on my blog in all the years I have been doing it.
Yes, this post is about the jewellery, the ring in particular but for me, it has brought something more to me personally. I can’t quite get it down into words but I do hope that it comes across that in creating this post, and being able to work with a dream brand it has helped to boost my confidence a little bit. Being set with the task of creating this content has also felt like a breath of fresh air. I feel like it has shaken away some of the cobwebs as I had felt like I was in a bit of an endless cycle with some of the content I was producing, this allowed me to create something a little more unique and I am going to take this experience away with me in order to make myself step out of my comfort zone a little bit more in the future.
Yes, these are just pictures, and they’re fairly safe in their nature. But it is the process behind them, it’s the things you don’t see, the pictures you take that you never use, it’s standing in public conscious of other people looking at you and endless editing and questioning if your work is good enough. It is all part of the creative process and whilst some it has been daunting, I have absolutely loved it too.
